Friday, July 8   9:30 am to 1:30 pm    Interpretive Tour of Five Islands Provincial Park, Colchester County
Join us for a guided tour of the cliffs at Five Islands Provincial Park which tells a story of Triassic sand dunes, Jurassic lava flows and lake deposits from the Age of Dinosaurs. The spectacular faults and rocks exposed along the shore, near the Old Wife, are dramatic evidence of the break up of the super continent Pangea. Gravel deposits on the cliff tops mark changing landscapes and sea levels from our own Ice Age. Suitable for the entire family! We will meet at 9:30 am at the Fundy Geological Museum front desk, or at 10:15 am at the park access to the beach. Please bring hiking boots, layered clothing, hat, sunscreen, cool drink, snack, and your camera! Sponsored by the Fundy Geological Museum. Contact Ken at (902)254-3814 or email:Â
