Five Islands Tidal Pool Exploration 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
This exciting experience involves investigating the life in our tidal pools with Andrew Hebda, Zoologist from the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History. The array of life in these small pools will astound you! Participants will be stepping in mud and water so wear appropriate footwear and bring water, snack, sunscreen, and a hat. We will meet at the park beach parking lot.
Evening Bat Walk 8:30 pm We will be hosting a bat walk with Zoologist and bat expert, Andrew Hebda, from the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History. An event for the entire family! There will be a short slide presentation at the park office about these resonating creatures. Then, using a specialized instrument that picks up the bat's sonar, we will track their activities in the park. We will meet at the park office. Please wear good walking or hiking shoes, bring a flashlight, insect repellent, and water. Pre-registration and confirmation to attend this event is required.
