Christine Blair is serving her second term as Councillor. She held this position from 1997-2000 and 2008-2012, a period of seven years. Currently, she is Chair, Police Advisory Board; Member, Dangerous and Unsightly Premises Committee; Member, Community Adivisory Committee for the new hospital.
In 1992, Councillor Blair becamce an elected Commissioner for the Village of Bible Hill and served in that position for 13 years. She served as Chairperson for the Village of Bible Hill and was the inaugural Chairperson for the Association of Nova Scotia Villages.
In her employement, Councillor Blair was Office Manager, Nova Scotia Forest Products Association; Executive Assistant to the Deputy Minister, NS Department of Natural Resources; Executive Assistant to the NS Commissioner of Forest Enhancement; Executive Assistant to the Minister and MLA; and currently holds the position of Returning Officer, NS Electoral District of Truro-Bible Hill.
As a volunteer, Councillor Blair is Chair, Official Board, St. David's United Church; Director, Association of Nova Scotia Villages, President, Bible Hill Cemetery Company; a 17 year Memer and Past President of the Rotary Club of Truro. She is a Past President of the United Way of Colchester and has been involved with Truro & District Chamber of Commerce, CoRDA, NS Forestry Association, and as a tutor for adult literacy with FutureWorx.
Councillor Blair has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and Business Administration diploma from Acadia. She is married to Bill Blair, has two sons and two grandchildren and enjoys watercolour painting.
