District 6

river in district 6District 6 has one of the fasted growing populations in Colchester County.  Primarily a residential district, with only pockets of commercial development, it is home to a par 3 and an 18 hole golf course.   This district contains the northern region of Valley and is home to one of the largest sawmills in central Nova Scotia.

 

Boundary Description

Bounded on the west by the eastern boundary of the Village of Bible Hill until it intersects with the centreline of College Road.  The boundary continues along the centreline of  College Road westerly until it meets the Salmon River Road.  The line continues along the northeast parcel boundary of 357 Salmon River Road until it intersects the Salmon River.  The boundary follows the centreline of the Salmon River south until it joins the eastern community boundary of Murray Siding.  The boundary then proceeds along the eastern community boundaries of Murray Siding, Harmony and Camden;

Bounded on the south by the southern community boundaries of Halfway Brook and Otter Brook;

Bounded on the east by the western community boundaries of Burnside, Riversdale and Kemptown; and

Is comprised of the Communities of East Mountain, Manganese Mines, Greenfield and a portion of Valley.
