Home District Map District 9

District 9

This region of the County is rural by nature but does have pockets of dense population, one being Debert.  Debert is home to one of the Municipality's Industrial Parks and its only airport.  This district can also take pride in its history, the once CFS Debert was one of the busiest military bases during World War II.

This district is home to the County's newest 9 hole golf course and during the winter months, the West Colchester Arena is always busy with recreational hockey.  The McElmon Pond's Provincial Park and Game Sanctuary offers a picnic park and walking trails.  The Mi'kmawey Debert Trail offers a woodland walking trail and beautifully illustrated interpretation panels that tell the history and significance of the area to the Mikmaq people.
