District 9
This district is home to the County's newest 9 hole golf course and during the winter months, the West Colchester Arena is always busy with recreational hockey. The McElmon Pond's Provincial Park and Game Sanctuary offers a picnic park and walking trails. The Mi'kmawey Debert Trail offers a woodland walking trail and beautifully illustrated interpretation panels that tell the history and significance of the area to the Mikmaq people.
Boundary DescriptionBounded on the north by District 7; Bounded on the west by the lower and south eastern community boundary of Hart Lake, the eastern community boundaries of Folly Lake, Folly Mountain, East Village and Glenholme; Bounded on the south by the northern community boundaries of Lower Debert and Masstown, the Cobequid Bay and Salmon River; Bounded on the east by District 8 and District 7; and Is comprised of the Communities of East Folly Mountain, Debert, Lower Onslow, Central Onslow, Crowes Mills, Belmont and Moose River.
