There are many products in our homes that contain harmful chemicals. It is important to dispose of these types of products properly for the protection of the environment and our health.  The drop off depot is a FREE service to residents of the Municipality of Colchester and the Towns of Truro and Stewiacke.

March 6th, April 10th, May 1st, June 5th, July 10th, August 7th, September 11th, October 2nd and November 6th

Hours of Operation: 9:00am to 1:00pm

  • Household Cleaners
  • Pool chemicals
  • Herbicides / Pesticides
  • Gasoline, watse oil, antifreeze
  • Propane tanks
  • Household and car batteries
  • Paints, stains and aerosols
  • Acids and bases

Not Acceptable!

  • Explosives
  • Raioactive Materials
  • Pathological Waste
  • Waste from institutional, industiral or commercial sources
  • Waste from outside Colchester County
