Jimmie Le Fresne is serving his third term as a Councillor.
Mr. Le Fresne and his wife Shelley have operated a Unique Country Inn in Tatamagouche since 1989. It has been that venture that earned him the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia's Entrepreneur Award (1991) and the 1996 Accommodations Award from the Tourism Industry of Nova Scotia.
Councillor Le Fresne is serving as a member on the Tatamagouche Water Utility Committee, the Tatamagouche Area Planning Advisory Committee and the French River Water Shed Committee. He previously served on the Executive and Audit Committee 2004-2008.
In addition to serving on the above, Councillor Le Fresne is also involved with Development & Tourism Associations, Church Boards as well as a volunteer CBC radio correspondent since 1991. He helped to facilitate the community of Tatamagouche being chosen for the filming of the 2009 CBC-TV series, "The Week the Women Went".
