Karen is serving her first term as Councillor in District 6.

She is a healthcare worker and has been employed in the Diagnostic Imaging (x-ray) Department at Colchester Regional Hospital for 21 years. She is a native of Densmore Mills in Hants County and the youngest of nine children.  She is the mother of two teenage girls.
Karen graduated from South Colchester High School in Brookfield and has lived in Valley for the past 16 years.
She is also the President of CUPE Local 2525 which represents 1400 healthcare workers in 14 hospitals from Amherst through to Port Hawkesbury.
If not at work or traveling between hospitals, you will find Karen spending any free time with her children.Â
