NOTICE OF INTENT
SECOND READING of CHAPTER 57 - CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION DISPOSAL BY-LAW AND SECOND READING of CHAPTER 58 – DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES BY-LAW

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of Colchester will consider Second Reading of amendments to Chapter 57 – Construction and Demolition Disposal By-law, at the Council Meeting to be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 1 Church Street, Truro. The purpose of these amendments is to restrict the bringing of hazardous or dangerous waste to Construction and Demolition Disposal Sites in the County of Colchester, and to make insurance and bonding requirements for such sites.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of Colchester will consider Second Reading of a new Disposal of Hazardous Substances By-Law, at the Council Meeting to be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 1 Church Street, Truro. The purpose of this by-law is to restrict the disposal of all hazardous or dangerous waste in the County of Colchester to certain appropriate sites, and to make insurance and bonding requirements for such sites.The text of the By-laws may be inspected or a copy obtained from the Administration Office, 1 Church Street, Truro, or is available on the County website at www.colchester.ca.

SECOND READING – CHAPTER 4 - REMUNERATION AND EXPENSES FOR COUNCIL AND APPOINTED COMMITTEE MEMBERS BY-LAW

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of Colchester will consider Second Reading of Chapter 4 –Remuneration and Expenses for Council and Appointed Committee Members By-law, at the Council Meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 1 Church Street, Truro.

The proposed amended By-law, if adopted, would:
- Address compensation for 2019 Federal tax changes;
- Increase the remuneration of Councillors to $36,316; Deputy Mayor to $43,394; and Mayor to $61,651; and,
- Amend the calculation for annual CPI increases.

The text of the proposed amended By-law may be inspected or a copy obtained from the Administration Office, 1 Church Street, Truro, or is available on the County website at www.colchester.ca .
