Take Notice that on Thursday, August 27, 2026, Council of the Municipality of the County of Colchester approved, by way of Second Reading, adoption of Chapter 31, Water Supply and On-site Sewage Disposal System Upgrade Lending Program By-law.
This By-law is intended to provide a mechanism for property owners to finance improvements to existing potable water supply systems and on-site sewage disposal systems.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of Colchester will be holding two (2) PUBLIC HEARINGS on THURSDAY, September 24, 2026 at 6pm. They will be held in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 3rd Floor, 1 Church Street, Truro.
Council will consider the following at these Public Hearings:
Hearing 1 - A request by zzap Consulting Inc., on behalf of Blowers & Grafton Developments limited, for a Development Agreement to allow a grouped dwelling residential development at 104 Vimy Road, Bible Hill, PIDs 20068540, 20477196, 20287702, and 20249226. The Agreement would be for five (5) multi-unit buildings, totalling 260 units.
Hearing 2 - Administrative Amendments to the Colchester Land Use By-law to clarify the issuance of permits for low density residential uses and other limited uses on existing lots on abandoned public roads.
Any representation and/or written objections by interested persons concerning either hearing may be made at these Public Hearings.

The hearing scheduled for this evening (August 27th, 2026), concerning the Site Plan approvals, for the four 8- unit apartment buildings on Salmon River Road, proposed by Brookside Developments Ltd, has been withdrawn from tonight’s Council agenda and will be rescheduled for a future meeting.

Take Notice that the Council of the Municipality of the County of Colchester will consider Second Reading of Chapter 31 – Onsite Water Supply & Septic Program By-law at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 27, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held both in person and virtually via Zoom Webinar.
The proposed Onsite Water Supply & Septic Program By-law is intended to provide a mechanism for property owners to finance improvements to existing potable water supply systems and on-site sewage disposal systems.
